abstract | Provided is a color filter capable of preventing display unevenness and bright spot defects caused by vibration or impact during transportation of a liquid crystal display device. A color filter 1 includes a transparent substrate 2, a light shielding portion 3 formed in a predetermined pattern having an opening on one surface of the transparent substrate 2, and coloring of a plurality of colors provided in the opening. A columnar laminated portion 5 in which colored layers made of respective materials constituting the colored portion 4 of two or more colors among the plurality of colors are laminated in a columnar shape on the portion 4 and the light shielding portion 3, and the colored portion 4 and the columnar laminated portion A transparent protective layer 6 made of a transparent resin that covers 5 and an alignment film 7 that covers the transparent protective layer 6, and is composed of the columnar laminated portion 5 and the transparent protective layer 6 and the alignment film 7 that cover the periphery thereof. When a load is applied to the top of the columnar projection 8 in the vertical direction up to 200 mN for 9 seconds and the state is maintained for 5 seconds, the position of the top of the top of the transparent substrate 2 before and after the load is maintained.
