titleOfInvention | Method for producing water-soluble polymer |
abstract | A method for producing a water-soluble polymer provided with a wet crushing step for crushing secondary particles of a water-soluble polymer in a water-soluble polymer slurry, which has been improved so that the operation of the wet crusher is performed well. The above manufacturing method is provided. A (co) polymer is obtained by suspension polymerization of an aqueous monomer solution containing N-vinylcarboxylic amide or another copolymer component and a polymerization initiator in a hydrophobic organic solvent in the presence of an emulsifier. A polymerization step for obtaining a slurry of particles, a modification step in which an acid is added to the obtained slurry of the (co) polymer particles, a dehydration step for the obtained water-soluble polymer slurry, a separation step for a hydrophobic organic solvent, A method for producing a water-soluble polymer which sequentially includes a drying step of the recovered water-soluble polymer, wherein the temperature of the water-soluble polymer slurry is set to 40 to 55 between the distillation dehydration step and the separation step of the hydrophobic organic solvent. A wet crushing step for crushing the secondary particles of the water-soluble polymer in the water-soluble polymer slurry while maintaining in the range of ° C. was provided.
