abstract The present invention provides an aldehyde removing liquid that has a high effect of removing aldehydes in the air, that lasts for a long time, and is excellent in storage stability. The present invention provides an aldehyde removing solution containing cysteines and having a pH adjusted to 7 to 12 with a pH adjuster. In addition, an aldehyde removing solution in which the pH adjuster is preferably phosphoric acid is provided. The present invention can irreversibly adsorb and remove aldehydes such as acetaldehyde and formaldehyde present in the air.
