abstract | The present invention is useful for various applications, and in particular, by using it as a cement admixture, it can exhibit a good balance of cement dispersibility and slump retention in a cement composition, and can improve the state of the cement composition. Furthermore, since the amount of cement admixture can be reduced, a polyalkylene glycol polymer that can be suitably used as a cement admixture, a cement admixture and a cement composition using the same are provided. A polymer having a polyalkylene glycol chain and a structural unit derived from a vinyl monomer, wherein the polymer has a terminal oxygen atom directly bonded to at least one terminal of the polyalkylene glycol chain. Or, it has a structure bonded to the main chain terminal of a structural unit derived from a vinyl monomer via an organic residue, and the vinyl monomer is composed of two or more kinds of polyalkylene glycol chains having different chain lengths.
