abstract | A method for purifying a target protein efficiently and rapidly is provided. A method for purifying a target protein by passing a solution containing the target protein and a plurality of impurity proteins having different molecular weights through an anion exchange membrane, wherein the isoelectric points of the plurality of impurity proteins are obtained. The adjustment step for adjusting the value of the hydrogen ion index of the solution higher than the value, the passage step for passing the adjusted solution through the anion exchange membrane, and the recovery step for recovering the target protein have a molecular weight. The plurality of impurity proteins having different molecular weights include at least a component having a molecular weight of less than 100 kDa and a component having a molecular weight of 100 kDa or more.
