abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel drug exhibiting a stable allergy-suppressing effect and a food, beverage or cosmetic containing the same at low cost by using a natural product-derived material. The present invention is an allergy inhibitor useful for the treatment or prevention of allergic diseases such as chronic dermatitis, comprising an algae of the genus Chlamydomonas as an active ingredient. The algae belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas is preferably Chlamydomonas strain W80 (FERM P-18474). The algae of the genus Chlamydomonas is preferably in the form of a dry powder.
