abstract 【Task】 Provided is an alignment film forming solvent capable of producing a high-quality liquid crystal alignment film with improved imidation ratio, large surface anisotropy and strong anchoring force. [Solution] In an alignment film forming solvent for forming an alignment film containing a polymer for a liquid crystal display device, the polymer of the alignment film contains polyimide, and is coated with polyamic acid which is a polyimide precursor, and imidized and fired. It includes a variable compound that is liquid during the film-forming process, but can be changed to a chemical structure for vaporization after imidization baking. [Selection] Figure 1
