To provide a hyperbranched polymer that can be used for a novel MRI contrast agent capable of imaging organs and diseases. A monomer A having an alkylene oxide group and two or more radically polymerizable double bonds in the same molecule, a part exhibiting paramagnetism and one or more radically polymerizable double bonds in the same molecule. A hyperbranched polymer obtained by polymerizing the monomer B having the polymer B in the presence of a polymerization initiator C in an amount of 5 to 200 mol% with respect to the monomer A, and an MRI contrast agent containing the polymer.
