titleOfInvention | Method for producing fluorobutadiene compound |
abstract | The present invention provides an efficient method for producing a trans-trans form of a fluorobutadiene compound useful as a liquid crystal compound with high selectivity and simple and easy steps. A R 1 - and (A 2 -Y 2) n -A 3 compound represented by -M (2), hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene (3) - (A 1 -Y 1) m Are reacted in a solvent containing at least an ether solvent (4) represented by R 2 —O—R 3 , and R 1 — (A 1 —Y 1 ) m — (A 2 —Y 2 ) n — a 3 -CF = CF-CF = CF-a 3 - (Y 2 -A 2) n - obtaining (Y 1 -A 1) m -R 1. Here, R 1 : a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a halogen atom; R 2 : a linear alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms. R 3 : a branched alkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a cyclic alkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms; A 1 , A 2 and A 3 : independently of each other, substituted or unsubstituted trans-1,4- Cyclohexylene group, 1,4-cyclohexenylene group or 1,4-phenylene group; Y 1 and Y 2 : independently of one another, a single bond, —O—, —S—, or substituted or unsubstituted carbon A divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 1 to 4; m and n: independently of each other 0 or 1; M: a metal or a metal halide.
