titleOfInvention Optical fiber and laser device using the same
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber capable of gradually emitting leakage light propagating through a clad, and a laser device using the same. An optical fiber includes a core, an inner clad that covers the core, an inner clad, and an average refractive index lower than that of the inner clad. An optical fiber having a low refractive index layer 60 that confines light of a wavelength and an outer cladding 54 that covers the low refractive index layer 60 and has a higher refractive index than the average refractive index of the low refractive index layer 60. A portion in the circumferential direction of the refractive index layer 60 is missing along the longitudinal direction of the inner cladding 52, and a portion where the low refractive index layer 60 is missing is more average than the average refractive index of the low refractive index layer 60. The light emitting portion 70 has a high refractive index and emits part of the light confined in the inner cladding 52. [Selection] Figure 3
