abstract | Kind Code: A1 The present invention relates to contamination of a photoreceptor or a charging member caused by metal oxide fine powder resulting from liberation of metal oxide fine powder from a toner after long-term use, as well as in a high temperature and high humidity environment and a low temperature and low humidity environment. Toner that does not cause fogging is provided. A toner having toner particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a nonionic surfactant and a metal oxide fine powder, wherein the nonionic surfactant contains oxyalkylene. It includes a polyoxyalkylene structure obtained by addition polymerization, and the polyoxyalkylene structure is a specific structure having at least an oxyethylene group.
