titleOfInvention | Toner process |
abstract | Toner suitable for use in a low-temperature pressure fixing device is provided. A toner resin composition contains a polyester resin obtained by condensing bisphenol A and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid as a low molecular weight amorphous resin and a crystalline polyester resin. The low molecular weight amorphous resin has a softening point of 90 to 105 ° C., a glass transition temperature of 50 to 60 ° C., a molecular weight of 500 to 1000 daltons, and the crystalline polyester resin contains a long chain alkyl dicarboxylic acid and a long chain alkyl dialcohol. This is a condensed polyester resin. A toner containing a low molecular weight amorphous resin having a low softening point and a low molecular weight as compared with a resin used in a normal emulsion aggregation toner for low melting fixing applications.
