A pneumatic tire including a dynamically vulcanized alloy film barrier layer disposed inside an outer tread and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. A barrier layer includes a dynamic vulcanization alloy having an engineering resin as a continuous phase and at least one partially vulcanized rubber as a dispersed phase, and an inner surface and an outer surface. A tire layer, such as the ply layer 18, is disposed adjacent to at least one of the inner surface 26 or the outer surface 28 of the barrier layer 24. The tire layer comprises a rubber compound having 100 parts natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or blends or combinations thereof, 1 to 10 phr melamine derivatives, such as hexamethoxymethylmelamine, and at least one reinforcing filler. The tire has no adhesive layer between the barrier layer 24 and the tire layer, and the tire layer directly adheres to the barrier layer 24 after the tire is cured. [Selection] Figure 1 |
