A thermoplastic resin comprising a fluorene derivative and a melt polymerization method thereof are provided. A bisphenol having an aromatic hydroxyl group in a diol component which is a raw material fluorene derivative in a resin obtained by melt polymerization of a diol component consisting of a fluorene derivative and a dicarboxylic acid component and / or an aromatic carbonic acid diester.
