abstract | An object of the present invention is to form a conductive polymer which gives a conductive polymer having excellent polymerizability, high electrical conductivity and high durability even on a valve metal having a complicated shape with a porous structure. A polymerizable monomer composition is provided. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a solid electrolytic capacitor using such a polymerizable monomer composition, having a high capacitance and a low dielectric loss, and particularly exhibiting a low ESR. As a polymerizable monomer composition, a polymer is produced using a mixed composition containing an alkylenedioxythiophene compound typified by propylenedioxythiophene in a thiophene derivative monomer, and a valve action metal as a solid electrolyte layer.
