abstract | An object of the present invention is to detect a hole in a gas pipe at an early stage. SOLUTION: At least one of Cu 2 O and SnO serving as a reducing agent and Ag 2 CO 3 , AgNO 3 and Ag 3 PO 4 serving as colorants are applied to a coating material 3 to be coated on an outer peripheral surface 2 of a gas pipe 1. Add at least one of the following. Thus, when the gas pipe 1 is broken due to corrosion and corrosive substances (S, Cl) contained in the by-product gas drain leak to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe, black substances such as Ag 2 S and AgCl are generated.
