abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an aromatic vinyl compound polymer in which a decrease in the activity of a catalyst is suppressed when a polymerization catalyst using a half metallocene complex is used. A process for producing an aromatic vinyl compound polymer which polymerizes an aromatic vinyl compound in the presence of a polymerization catalyst using a half metallocene complex containing a transition metal of Group 3 or a lanthanoid series of the periodic table.
