abstract A method of manufacturing a front filter for a PDP in which a plurality of optical filters are laminated on an electromagnetic wave shielding material, and does not cause problems such as misalignment of optical filter layers and curling of optical filters in the optical filter laminate. A method for manufacturing a front filter for a PDP is provided. A plurality of belt-shaped optical filters and a release sheet are laminated in a roll-to-roll manner through an adhesive layer, and a blade is inserted from the optical filter side to cut each optical filter and each adhesive layer. The sheet is cut so that the end faces coincide with each other, and the release sheet is peeled off from the sheet laminate, and the peripheral area of the electromagnetic wave shielding material is grounded on the conductive pattern layer of the blackened electromagnetic wave shielding material. The PDP front filter is manufactured by stacking so as to exist in an exposed state. [Selection] Figure 1
