abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper powder for conductive paste having further oxidation resistance, higher initial conductivity and moisture resistance than conventional copper powder for conductive paste while avoiding adverse effects on electrical characteristics. SOLUTION: In the case of spherical powder, the average particle diameter is 1 μm or more and 10 μm or less, or in the case of scale powder, the average particle diameter is 3 μm or more and 40 μm or less, and the surface has a weight average molecular weight 2000 having a tertiary amine. A copper powder for a conductive paste for an external electrode excellent in oxidation resistance, characterized in that ˜200000 tertiary amine-substituted polystyrene covers the surface of the copper powder as a coating film.
