A tire formed using a thermoplastic resin and having excellent durability and manufacturability, and a method for manufacturing the tire. A tire 10 having an annular tire skeleton 17 formed of a thermoplastic resin material, wherein the thermoplastic resin material is a polyester thermoplastic elastomer and a thermoplastic other than the polyester thermoplastic elastomer. A tire 10 including an acid-modified elastomer obtained by acid-modifying an elastomer, or a mixture of a thermoplastic elastomer other than the polyester-based thermoplastic elastomer and an acid-modified elastomer obtained by acid-modifying the elastomer, and a method for producing the same.
