abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a predetermined 1,3-position-2-substituted pyrrolidine compound and a salt thereof with high purity efficiently and industrially. [Solution] The above-described problem is solved by adding water hydrohalic acid and performing crystallization after coexisting water in an organic solvent solution containing the free base of the 1,3-position-2-substituted pyrrolidine compound. As a result, it is possible to obtain a high-purity 1,3-position-2-substituted pyrrolidine compound and a salt thereof from which impurities and colored components that are difficult to remove are sufficiently removed without performing purification by column chromatography.
