abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a Re-based oxide superconducting wire that suppresses deterioration of superconducting characteristics due to the surface roughness of a substrate and has high production efficiency. A first intermediate layer is formed directly on a substrate by a MOD method, a second intermediate layer made of cerium oxide is formed on the first intermediate layer by a MOD method, and a second intermediate layer is formed. A superconducting layer 14 made of ReBaCuO is formed immediately above the substrate by the MOD method. Thereby, since the 1st intermediate layer 12, the 2nd intermediate layer 13, and the superconducting layer 14 are all produced by the MOD method, the Re-based oxide superconducting wire 10 can be produced at a high production rate and at a low equipment cost. Since the unevenness of the uneven surface 11a of the substrate 11 is smoothed by the solution during the coating process of the first intermediate layer 12, the surface of the substrate 11 does not need to be smoothed by electrolytic polishing or the like.
