titleOfInvention Endoscopic air supply system
abstract When using two systems of gas supply sources such as an air pump and a carbon dioxide gas cylinder, gas switching is smoothly and automatically performed. An air pump is provided together with a light source lamp in a light source device. The air pump 41 is rotationally driven by the pump drive circuit 42 having the rotation speed control unit 43 to supply pressurized air. Carbon dioxide gas is supplied to the endoscope by the gas supply flow rate adjustment unit 51, and air supply and water supply using the carbon dioxide gas are performed. The remaining amount of carbon dioxide in the carbon dioxide cylinder 50 is detected, and when the detected pressure P1 of the carbon dioxide becomes less than a certain value PS1, the air pump 41 is rotated to supply pressurized air. The number of rotations of the air pump 41 is controlled, and pressurized air is supplied at the same supply amount as when carbon dioxide gas is supplied. Switching to pressurized air is performed automatically. The supply amount before and after the switching is the same, and the operator does not feel uncomfortable. [Selection] Figure 3
