abstract | When ink is deposited on the surface of a recording medium treated with an acidic liquid composition, a colorant contained in the ink aggregates and accumulates on the recording medium. Since the deposited layer has low abrasion resistance, there is a problem that the user's hand, the back surface of the printed matter, and the like are stained with ink by contacting the recorded matter after drying. A liquid composition has a water-soluble organic acid and 0.9 mol or more of a water-soluble amine with respect to 1 mol of an acid group contained in the water-soluble organic acid. When ink is adhered to the recording medium 101 to which the liquid composition is adhered, the water-dispersible colorant 104 contained in the ink and the salt contained in the liquid composition at the liquid composition adhesion portion 102 inside the recording medium. Upon contact, the water dispersible colorant aggregates. As a result, the water-dispersible colorant is fixed at a shallow position inside the recording medium, so that it is possible to prevent the occurrence of feathering and color bleeding and to obtain a recorded material with high fixability.
