abstract |
Modified sodium iodide symporter (NIS) protein is provided. The modified NIS protein comprises an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acid residues are changed in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. This modified NIS protein has an improved transport function, and the expression of the modified NIS protein in cells raises the intracellular level of the NIS protein substrate higher than the expression of the same amount of wild-type NIS protein.
