titleOfInvention | Ceramic metal halide lamp with outer ball protection structure |
abstract | In a ceramic metal halide lamp having a plurality of arc tubes, a ceramic metal halide lamp having an outer sphere protection structure in which an outer bulb is not damaged even if one arc tube is ruptured is provided. The lamp (10) is composed of a plurality of arc tubes (4-1, 4-2) in which one arc tube is selectively lit, and a double inner tube arranged so as to surround the arc tube. A sphere protection structure; and an outer sphere (2) for housing the arc tube and the outer sphere protection structure. For example, as the outer sphere protection structure, individual open-type inner tubes (22-1, 22-2) surrounding each of the luminous tubes (4-1, 4-2) and the individual open-type inner tubes It has a sealed inner pipe (18A-1, 18A-2) surrounding both ends.
