abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner particles having improved defects, including toner filming and unstable image quality, which may occur in a toner produced by a process including grinding. Toner particles formed by melting and mixing toner components are processed to form toner particles, and the toner particles are contacted with deionized water and at least one surfactant to form a mixture. By heating, the toner is fused to give toner particles having desirable spherical properties. [Selection figure] None
