[PROBLEMS] A simple method for producing a solid polymer electrolyte that maintains sufficient ionic conductivity over a wide temperature range (especially at low temperatures) and maintains sufficient mechanical strength over a wide temperature range (especially at high temperatures). Provided is a method for producing a polymer electrolyte particle. Disclosed is a step of dispersing a polymer having a polyolefin moiety and a polyalkylene oxide moiety in one molecule in a polar solvent at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the polyolefin moiety to obtain a dispersion, and the obtained dispersion A polymer electrolyte particle comprising: a step of cooling to obtain polymer particles; and a step of adding an electrolyte to the dispersion after cooling to obtain a polymer electrolyte particle containing the polymer particles and the electrolyte.
