abstract Disclosed is a spinal cord injury repair agent that exhibits a repair function for a damaged spinal cord. The spinal cord injury repair agent of the present invention is characterized by containing a solvent extract of propolis as an active ingredient. Preferably, the solvent is water, a hydrophilic organic solvent, or a mixed solution of water and a hydrophilic organic solvent. The spinal cord injury repair agent of the present invention can also be used as a spinal cord protective agent that suppresses the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase at the site of spinal cord injury.
