A honeycomb filter capable of improving exhaust gas purification efficiency is provided. A honeycomb filter (100) is made of porous aluminum titanate containing magnesium and silicon, and has a plurality of substantially parallel flow paths (110a, 110b) partitioned by partition walls (112). In 100a, one end of the channel 110a is sealed by the sealing part 114, and the other end of the channel 110b is sealed by the sealing part 114 on the other end surface 100b.
