An object of the present invention is to provide a method for detecting an arbitrary target substance rapidly and with high sensitivity, in particular, quantitatively, by measuring an electrochemical change, in particular, a charge generated by a power-generating enzyme as a current. Objective. Another object of the present invention is to provide a detection unit and apparatus for use in the detection method. According to the present invention, a power generation enzyme (such as glucose oxidase) is combined with a molecule-specific detection system using a support (preferably magnetic beads or a plastic plate), and electrons generated therein are detected as an electric current. Thus, a method for quantitatively detecting the target molecule is provided. Furthermore, an electrode cell and an apparatus suitable for the detection method are provided. [Selection] Figure 4 |
