To provide a heat-insulating refractory material in which reaction with an alkali component is suppressed and further weight reduction is achieved. The heat-insulating refractory according to the present invention is made of alumina or zirconia ceramics, does not contain silica, or even if it contains 1% by weight or less, has a porosity of 65 to 85%, and has a compressive strength. Is 2 MPa. This heat-insulating refractory is composed of alumina particles or zirconia particles, water-soluble polymer materials, polysaccharides, pore-forming particles that can be lost by firing, and a kneaded material obtained by kneading a liquid medium. It is suitably manufactured by calcining the molded body under conditions where the molded particles are obtained by press molding at a pressure that is not applied; [Selection] Figure 1 |
