Compositions and methods for tumor therapy |
abstract |
【Task】 A protein lacking tyrosine kinase activity and dimerizing with a receptor member of the erbB family; a nucleic acid molecule encoding such a protein; such a nucleic acid combined with a delivery vehicle that facilitates transport of the nucleic acid molecule into a cell Pharmaceutical compositions comprising molecules; and methods of preventing tumors and treating individuals with tumors by administering such pharmaceutical compositions are provided. [Solution] Use of an antibody specific for erbB protein in the manufacture of a medicament for the combined treatment of an individual having an erbB protein mediated tumor, wherein the combined treatment comprises administering the medicament to an individual with anti-cancer radiation. Wherein the antibody specific for the erbB protein inhibits formation of an erbB protein dimer that produces increased tyrosine kinase activity in the tumor cell by binding to the erbB protein; There is provided the use as described above, which has an antiproliferative action and is administered with anti-cancer radiation after administration of the antibody. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody. Furthermore, a pharmaceutical composition comprising a nucleic acid encoding the antibody is also provided.
