abstract To provide a golf ball 2 having excellent flight performance. A golf ball (2) includes a spherical core (4) and a cover (6) located outside the core (4). The golf ball 2 further includes dimples 8 on the surface thereof. The core 4 is obtained by crosslinking the rubber composition. The difference between the hardness H (5.0) at a point where the distance from the center point of the core 4 is 5 mm and the hardness Ho at this center point is 6.0 or more. The difference between the hardness H (12.5) and the hardness H (5.0) at a point whose distance from the center point is 12.5 mm is 4.0 or less. The difference between the hardness HS and the hardness H (12.5) of the surface of the core 4 is 10.0 or more. The difference between the hardness HS and the hardness Ho is 22.0 or more. There is no zone where the hardness decreases from the center point toward the surface. The rubber composition of the core 4 contains 2-naphthalenethiol. The cross-sectional shape of the dimple 8 is a wavy curve. [Selection] Figure 1
