abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and an ultrasonic image for supporting simple and appropriate setting of a three-dimensional region of interest when displaying a three-dimensional image using volume data acquired by an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus or the like. A processing apparatus and a medical image processing apparatus are provided. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave is transmitted to a three-dimensional region in a subject, a reflected wave from the three-dimensional region is received, an echo signal related to the three-dimensional region is acquired, and an echo signal related to the three-dimensional region is used. Thus, volume data relating to the three-dimensional area is acquired, and a predetermined curve is set for the two-dimensional image relating to the two-dimensional area included in the three-dimensional area. Using a closed region obtained by rotating a predetermined curve that has been set, a three-dimensional region of interest is set for volume data, and the data contained in the three-dimensional region of interest is used to generate a three-dimensional image.
