abstract | The present invention provides a novel compound that easily generates a base upon irradiation with long-wavelength light (active energy rays), a photobase generator comprising these compounds, and a base generation method. A compound represented by the general formula [1], a photobase generator containing these compounds, and a base generation method. (In the formula, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or substituted with a nitrogen atom to which they are bonded. Represents a nitrogen-containing aliphatic ring or a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring having 2 to 10 carbon atoms which may have a group, and R 3 and R 4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a carbon number of 1 to 10 R 5 and R 6 each independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and n R 7 are a halogen atom or a carbon atom.
