abstract | A method of manufacturing an electronic device includes providing a base (801) comprising circuit elements, a first layer (800) of insulating material, and a second layer (804) of insulating material on the first layer. Forming a dual bank well defining structure on the base (801) and depositing a solution of an organic material in the well defined by the dual bank structure. The dual bank well definition structure is formed by removing material from the first and second layers (800, 804) in a single processing step to form the well. A material that is removed at a faster rate than the material of the second layer (804) to form an overhanging step structure in which the second layer (804) protrudes over the edge of the first layer (800).
