In accordance with the present invention, a novel porous material containing nanoparticles, its use in chromatographic separation, a method for its preparation, and a separation device comprising the chromatographic material are described. Specifically, this disclosure describes porous inorganic / organic hybrid particles embedded with nanoparticles selected from the following oxides or nitrides: silicon carbide, aluminum, diamond, cerium, carbon black, carbon nanotubes , Zirconium, barium, cerium, cobalt, copper, europium, gadolinium, iron, nickel, samarium, silicon, silver, titanium, zinc, boron, and mixtures thereof. |
