Exemplary embodiments relate to a fluorescence polarization assay and include the primary amino acid sequence of H-PGDS for compounds or formulations, their affinity for hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (H-PGDS). Screening is based on the ability to replace the fluorophore-containing detection sample bound to the enzyme.
