abstract | The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing a dialkoxyalkane by selective partial oxidation of a lower alcohol. In accordance with the method, an oxygen molecule or an oxygen molecule-containing gas, and at least one metal as a main component in a reaction medium containing a gas phase containing a compound that is acidified by Pearson classification having a pKa of less than 6.3 in an aqueous solution. The lower alcohol is oxidized in the presence of the solid oxidation catalyst. The reaction is carried out in the gas phase or in the liquid phase. |
