A method of loading a medical device into a delivery device, the method comprising providing a two-stage shape memory alloy at a temperature at least a portion of the alloy including austenite. Sufficient stress is applied to the medical device at the temperature to form an R phase from at least a portion of the austenite. This medical device feeding form is obtained, and the medical device is inserted into the restraining member. The delivery form of the medical device preferably includes a stress-induced R phase. |
