abstract | The present invention provides novel multidentate selective high affinity ligands (SHALs) that can be used in a variety of applications similar to the use of antibodies. A SHAL typically includes multiple ligands that each bind to a different region on the target molecule. The ligand is linked directly or via a linker, thereby forming a multidentate moiety that typically binds to the target molecule with high selectivity and avidity. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of making a selective high affinity multidentate ligand (SHAL) that specifically binds to a target molecule. |
