abstract |
The present invention is a catalyst for reacting a carboxylic nitrile with water, having an empirical formula MnO x , wherein x is in the range of 1.7-2.0. It relates to a catalyst comprising manganese dioxide and at least one plasticizer. The invention further relates to a method for producing the above catalyst and a method for producing a carboxylic acid amide by reacting a carboxylic nitrile and water in the presence of the catalyst according to the invention. |
