titleOfInvention | Production of silver sulfate particles in the presence of water-soluble fluorinated additives |
abstract | Particles comprising mainly silver sulfate comprising reacting a water-soluble silver salt with a water-soluble inorganic sulfate ion source in a stirred precipitation reactor and precipitating particles comprising predominantly silver sulfate. Wherein the reaction and precipitation are carried out in the presence of a water-soluble organic sulfate or organic sulfonate additive compound, and the amount of additive compound is the molar amount of silver sulfate to be precipitated. A method characterized in that it is effective to cause precipitation of grains comprising primarily silver sulfate having a small mole percentage with respect to the amount and having an average grain size of less than 50 micrometers. |
