The present invention relates to a method for producing a multicomponent bismuth molybdate catalyst comprising four metal components, a method for producing 1,3-butadiene using the catalyst, and in particular, a divalent cationic metal. A multicomponent bismuth molybdate catalyst consisting of a trivalent cationic metal, bismuth and molybdenum, a process for its preparation, and a C4 mixture containing n-butene and n-butane using an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction The present invention relates to a method for producing 1,3-butadiene. According to the present invention, unlike existing multi-component metal oxide catalysts having a complex composition of metal components, only four metal components are shown, as shown through a systematic search for metal component types and ratios. The use of the catalyst makes it possible to produce a highly active catalyst for the production method of 1,3-butadiene. [Selection] Figure 3
