A novel food composition combining egg white with phytosterol is provided. Other ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids, preferably those containing eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) may also be present in the product. Further optional ingredients are flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, fiber, lutein and zeaxanthin. A method for producing these compositions is also provided. |
