| abstract | The present invention generally provides a method for the treatment and improvement of the quality of life of patients who are adversely affected by various pain conditions. One preferred embodiment is acute, comprising administering at least one or two dosage forms containing about 15 mg hydrocodone and salts thereof and about 500 mg acetaminophen once, twice or three times daily. Methods are provided for treating pain, moderate to moderately severe pain, chronic pain, non-cancerous pain, osteoarthritic pain, bunionectomy pain or low back pain in patients in need thereof. Preferably, the dosage form is about 30 mg hydrocodone and about 1000 mg acetaminophen taken twice daily. Alternatively, the dosage form is about 15 mg hydrocodone and about 500 mg acetaminophen taken twice daily. |
