abstract | The present invention includes (i) a linear polymer main chain, (ii) a plurality of hydrophilic polymer protective chains conjugated to and suspended from the linear polymer main chain, and (iii) a linear polymer main chain. It relates to a soluble hydrophobic core carrier composition having at least one hydrophobic moiety conjugated and suspended in a chain. In certain embodiments, the weight ratio of hydrophilic protective chains to hydrophobic moieties in the carrier is at least 15: 1. In other embodiments, at least 90% of the polymer backbone residues are attached to a hydrophilic polymer protective chain or a hydrophobic moiety. In another embodiment, the composition further comprises (iv) a hydrophobic loading molecule dissociated to the hydrophobic portion of the carrier. |
