abstract | The present invention relates to a magenta inkjet ink and an inkjet ink set that includes the magenta ink and further includes a yellow inkjet ink and a cyan inkjet ink. Magenta and other inks in the ink set are characterized by the presence of certain unique colorants. The magenta ink includes a specific magenta dye as defined herein and either one or both of Acid Red 52 and Acid Red 249. The yellow ink includes Acid Yellow 79 and one or any combination of Direct Yellow 169, Direct Yellow 86, and Acid Orange 33. Cyan ink includes Direct Blue 199. Magenta inks and ink sets are particularly advantageous for printing on plain paper and photographic glossy paper. |
