abstract | The present invention provides a formulation of siRNA suitable for iontophoretic delivery to the eye, a device for iontophoretic delivery of siRNA, and methods of use thereof. In delivering an effective amount of siRNA to the subject's eye by transscleral iontophoresis, a) placing the device in the center of the subject's eye surface, and b) performing iontophoresis, siRNA is administered to the subject's eye. The application surface of the device is defined between the device and the eyeball, the device comprising a reservoir containing an aqueous solution composed of one or more siRNA molecules or formulations thereof and connected to a generator.
